Nicaragua

This full day excursion starts bright and early with a 4:30 am pick up at your hotel. About 1.5 hours into the trip we stop for breakfast in Liberia, before we continue our way to our Northern neighbor.

At the border your guide and driver will assist you with the immigration formalities. Then we drive to Granada city, one of the first cities founded by Europeans in America.

Granada is a colorful city, built in Spanish colonial style where you can stroll the main boulevard “La Calzada” in the early evening and you can feel a certain kind of Southern European flair.

Nicaragua has a rich culture and a history full of proud and difficult memories. One of the most important monuments of the city is “La Catedral”, the impressive cathedral located at the “Plaza de España” It has one of the best view points of the nearby Lake Nicaragua.

We recommend a city tour in horse carriage that will take you to the most important cultural sites.

We will have lunch at a restaurant with traditional Nicaraguan platters before we take you to Masaya, a large market where you can purchase locally crafted souvenirs such as hammocks, masks and pottery just to mention a few…

After the Masaya market we will visit the Masaya volcano and the National park, a natural attraction that we cannot miss on our trip.

After a long day of sightseeing we head back to Costa Rica and you will be returning to your hotel approximately at 10 pm.
